Community Involvement & Contributions
Better Business Bureau of Fort Worth and Tarrant County
Mr. Denke is in his 7th year as a member of the board of directors of the BBB of Fort Worth and Tarrant County. He is also in his second year of a two year term as Chairman of the Board. He has served on the executive committee for seven years and held the office of treasurer for three years. Additionally he has served on the finance, CEO review and nominations committee. In September 2011 as chairman of the bylaws committee he was successful in a completing an entire re-write of the bylaws for the organization.
BBB Consumer Education Foundation
In 2010 DENKE CPA was responsible for creating and financing an additional four year collegiate scholarship within the foundation. This scholarship is awarded with the assistance of Junior Achievement.
TSCPA Professional Standards Committee
Mr. Denke was chosen to serve on the Texas Society of CPA's Professional Standards Committee from June 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013. The primary objective to the PSC is to respond to exposure drafts of the FASB. SEC, AICPA, GASB, PCAOB, and any other accounting and auditing standard-setting body that has impact on the practice of accountancy in Texas.
Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA)
All DENKE CPAs are required to be a member of the Texas State Society and the Fort Worth Chapter. Participation in chapter events is also encouraged and company paid for.
Mr. Denke attends semi-monthly meetings of the Breakfast One Club, a local executive organization of recognizable community leaders.
Cowtown Executive Association (CEA)
Mr. Denke is a founding member, and second oldest member in tenure, of the CEA. He is a past President and Chairman of the Board and currently serves on the Past Presidents committee. He has been an integral participant in the development and oversight of the organization's bylaws and policies and procedures. He has served on multiple committees and has compiled the annual budget for the organization's entire 17 year existence.
Leadership Fort Worth
Mr. Denke was recommended for the Leadership Fort Worth program in 1997, an organization in which he is still active today.
Ridglea Country Club (of Fort Worth)
Mr. Denke is in his second of a three year term on the board of directors at Ridglea Country Club. Over the years he has served on various committees including membership, fitness, house, entertainment, etc. He has enjoyed continual membership in the club since 1977.
West Side Lions Little League
For 12 years Mr. Denke served on the board of directors of the West Side Lions Little League. He volunteered as a coach for twelve years and served as a commissioner for multiple years. Every year DENKE sponsored various little league teams and made annual financial contributions to the league.
Among the list of DENKE CPA community clients can be found the names of The Texas Dietetic Association Foundation, Greater Fort Worth Builders Association, Fort Worth Human Resource Management Association, Dallas Film Producers Association, Camp Bowie Historical District and others. As a public service to these non-profits, Mr. Denke attends meetings and at times advises these organizations on a pro bono basis.
